Quality Translating Procedure:
1. Preparation
When we receive the material, we analyze the text type, complexity of the topic, length, level of specialization, etc. Based on our analysis, we select those translators best suited for your project.
We gather the appropriate reference materials according to the topic and language of the translation: technical dictionaries, glossaries, etc.
In the case of extensive texts, we define criteria to achieve consistency all throughout.
We agree with our clients on the necessary guidelines for each project, for example, the variety of English or Spanish required, and target audience (specialists or general public).
2. Translation
We carry out the translation constantly consulting the reference materials, in compliance with established criteria and following the specified guidelines.
As part of the translation process, we include adaptations as needed, and add the appropriate clarifications.
By using appropriate IT tools –terminology databases, translation memories–, we achieve accuracy and consistency.
We constantly follow up the evolution of the work in process.
3. Editing
In this phase, we make sure our translation meets these quality parameters: faithfulness, accuracy, fluency and eloquence, adaptations.
According to the type of text, different editors are involved in this stage:
- Total command of the English language or excellent Spanish writing skills.
- Topic or area expert.
4. Delivery of the translation
We deliver the translation according to the deadline and format agreed upon.
